Well even me that can barely read a chart can see that's far from true lol. Just using common sense. So why can't all the Modic-depressives in the MAD thread see that,

hi chris

i dont think he will realistically want to predict past 5 days

he will only say what the models are saying and i would

assume even he wont give absolute trust to them

keep watching up to 5 days ahead

me personally think we will miss most of the heavy rain

we will get some that i do not doubt

but nothing like we have seen previously

I think some become fixated on something and then that's all they can see, a bit like those optical illusion things.

the problem is when the op run comes out from gfs

they see zonal in fi and believe it

then when they do see a freeze they say its fi and will not happen

keep your eye on the fax charts  they are far more reliable than any other model

Perhaps, John, as Katiewombat is here at present, you could help me with her request for help from this thread last night, please?  (See page 29 of this thread).

Thanks.  I tried last night but only succeeded in generating further confusion, sadly.  I also don't trust my knowledge to state things with sufficient confidence.

hi chris

your description last night was fine

problem is its hard to word it in an easy way

heres the link

http://weatherfaqs.org.uk/book/export/html/214

warning though its long and will take a while to digest

best thing to do is look for what you need to know rather than read all of it

hope that helps

Thank you John and thank you again Chris. I think I will print it out and read it that way. Sometimes good old fashioned paper is far easier to learn from them an 8inch screen. Fingers crossed for me to finally start learning. Katie
