A very wet and windy walk on the beach at Sandbanks this afternoon, with cold raindrops pinging against our faces and our ears being buffeted if not covered with a scarf, and fabulous white horse waves in a boiling sea. The usual mad windsurfers were out enjoying it all; I do envy them their abilities plus their endurance. Soaked clothes are now in the dryer. Couldn't get off the A3 at Cobham to get petrol; I suspect the flooding was the cause. The further coast-bound we drove, the more we saw field after field transformed into one enormous lake, with only the tops of the hedgerows distinguishing them; if you didn't know it, you would think you were on some kind of road bridge across miles of submerged wetlands. The rear of the beach at Sandbanks has seen the level of the sand against fences and walls pushed much higher and the car park area is awash with sand. All dramatic stuff.

http://www.meteociel.fr/modeles/ecmwf.php?ech=72&mode=0&map=0&type=0&archive=0

have a run through these

there is only 1 day i would call warm

that is 192

the rest are pretty chilly

i think the confusion on these sites arise between cold and snow cold

next week does not look warm at all

i still want the cold charts in the fax range to be more confident

however the first stage of losing heights to our south east has been achieved

now look at 192

Posted Image

also blocking to our east means low pressure should go south east

leads to this

Posted Image

will it happen?

possibly but would like to see this closer

also 1 problem with this

before it changes the lows diving south east across us could cause a LOT of rain

anyway be back later with the fax charts

Never seen this before. A volcano in Indonesia produces lava that looks BLUE!

Evening all, very quiet on here today I hope everyone is ok....best wishes to JJ and Sm for speedy recoveries and anyone else who is poorly ... As you know I'm off to a sunnier climate in the early hours but I'm sure you will be well looked after in my absence...I'll try to post a few pictures from inside a volcano or of the sunshine so you can remind yourselves what it looks like Posted Image

I'll leave you with this view of who's to blame for all this wet weather....

http://www.theguardian.com/society/2014/jan/18/uk-storms-divine-retirubtion-gay-marriage-ukip

My own thoughts on this is that obviously God is only mildly hacked off about the gay marriage laws as all he did was cause a little weather blip that made a few houses wet and knocked off a couple of folk. If God had been proper angry then surely the rivers would have been blood, it would have rained frogs not 'cats and dog's, and we would have been plagued by flies, lice, locusts and covered in boils... we haven't even had the hail and thunder here !!

Ciao for now Posted Image

Enjoy MK and bring Winter back with you on your way home.Posted Image

I still have no power dam electricity companies

Any idea what's caused the power to go out? Hope it's back on soon for you as the novelty of candlelight soon wears off..Had some rain here a short while ago but it was short lived and light, still 8c! I think it's been at or close to that for around 36 hours now.Have a lovely holiday Ali! Hopefully we will have sorted the snow for you to arrive just after you get home :) Edited by lottiekent

My own view about it, without getting into the gay human debate, is that chickens and birds that I have observed are quite often gay, that is they choose a life commitment with a bird who is of the same gender as themselves, regardless of if there are lots of the other gender wandering about, therefore it is something natural in nature, at least as far as birds.

Evening all. :)

A fairly non-descript weather day here; we even had some sun first thing.

I've just found this link on the online version of our local paper.

http://www.gazette-news.co.uk/news/10945476.Will_this_be_our_first_snowless_winter_since_2002_/?ref=mr

Talk about setting yourself up for a big fall!
