Yep snowed very hard for about an hr. Just far to wet to lie. Personally do not think a warning should have been issued though ! Now onto the wind later.

Netweather should sponsor a walk-in coldstore/chiller for all the coldies to go have a 'hit'. If we have to wait till next winter they will have melted away

Now this is a proper storm, driving across the M50 tonight was lethal. Trees down everywhere and torrential rain. Would be surprised if the liffey doesn't break the wall heights by morning at this rate.

Hard to believe but there hasn't been a severe gust of wind here all winter .. in the stormiest period I have ever seen . Visiting the west coast and seeing the changes wrought by wind and tides leaves me in awe of the power of nature . Stay safe where ever you are ...

Fascinating but scary few days of weather coming up, but like the past month or so the worst seems to heading south of my location. Very unusual normally we see the worst winds along the north coast!

Yup, ECM showing quite a wild week ahead with more flooding and wind misery for many.

Good opportunity for some thunderstorms today. Shall have my camera to the ready!

I'd also keep an eye of the Valentia rainfall total this month. It's already of 99.9mm to the 7th, with the February record for a synoptic station being 299.9mm.
