The 12z skew-t for Valentia is showing uppers of about -3.9C, so the cold air is certainly sweeping in now. Things should be turning quite wintry now.

 

4.6C here, frequent moderate showers and very gusty winds.

Things definatley turning colder now. Got up to 8.3c here early this morning,now at a chilly 3.8c. Had a fairly intense short but sharp rain shower awhile ago.

Pea sized hail here atm. Had a few other hail/sleet showers in the last 2 hours

 

 

Definitely plenty of wintriness in that last shower! Folks where can i check the likes of dew points and stuff for my area? Thanks in advance.

Another intense pea sized hail shower, followed by light snow. Great stuff!

Wow, full on blizzard conditions forecast by the 12z on Friday for many parts

i think it might be be a one off. cannot see that happening. bar a miracle

 

It is very unlikely, and would be very much on the marginal side of things. But I'd say that's how many great snow events come about.

thats my concern. only yest it had whole of england and scotland in snow and us rain. today its role reversal! but as BFTV says this is how things start. If its still showing by next thurs. Game on!!

was up sliabh beagh earlier and covering of snow above 300mts. temp was 0.5c. temp in town now 1.5c and sky fairly clear. not much in the way of showers here but should deffo be wintry if they come.

nw radar showing any showers only falling as sleet so will be interesting to see how wintry they are. not much shower activity at all though.
