Must be clear here too with temp falling!

Looked at radar and any showers fade away before they get here.

Sadly, looks like showers are fading before they get here. Just broken cloud coming across now. Wasn't expecting much anyway. At least I've seen a bit of falling snow this winter. (Slept through the other one earlier in the month...though was up early enough to see the dusting it had left)

Saw plenty of wet snow when I drove through the Forest of Dean and Monmouth earlier this evening, around 5pm

Not worth staying up tonight. Heavier stuff up north over West Yorkshire and down south near Bristol. The radar looks very patchy and fragmented downwind of here. There will be probably be a few more flurries through the night but not worth having a tired Monday over. Not overly convinced the stuff over Ireland will hold together, that too has plenty of breaks in it.

Ah well...can't say it hasn't been an interesting weekend of weather. Saturday January 25th may end up as the top date of this winter for weather events! It'll be up there whatever happens from here anyway! Pleased with that one...

A few wintry showers here in Falmouth tonight. Certainly a benefit living down here tonight with cold air over that warm sea generating short but heavy showers. Hail, sleet, snow and there have been some lightning strikes dotted around too. Posted Image

Good luck Midlanders!

Have you taken the excitement down there with you again? Don't make me get on that sleeper train!

Although, yesterday's storm...that's ours...it's in the bank...you can't have it!Posted Image

Indeed 18z pulls a cat out of the bag with a very snowy run, shame its the pub run, those models love to torture us. We all still have hope thanks to the gfs never thought I would be saying that lol. Nite all.

Not clear any more- more boring, pathetic rain. In fact it's more like drizzle, and it doesn't feel anywhere near cold enough for snow. Even if we get a heavy evaporating cooling shower it'll just melt once it's stopped, because the temperature refuses to drop when it clears at night this winter.

Haha I highly doubt its as exciting as it was yesterday for you lot. Sounds amazing and sounds like my home town pretty much took the worst out of the whole of the UK given the lightning strike fires and the prolonged radar returns more than anywhere else!

I remember early last summer I think it was we had a warm spell and thunderstorms were predicted for most. They never showed up anywhere except one place and that was home even though it wasnt much. Stourbridge does seem to have a bit of luck when it comes to Thunderstorms sometimes.

Anywhere I personally havent witnessed any lightning here tonight but the potential is there all of tonight and all day tomorrow. Posted Image

If the 18z is right we could have more heavy wintry shower and thunder later this week. :)

Looks like the band is breaking up as it approaches. More death by welsh mountains.

Well the euro4 model got it wrong aswell and that is rated highly aswell!!it had snow across the midlands at 3am but when I checked the radar it had the same band across wales!!and then when it did approach its just broke up and dissapeared so it got it wrong on 2 counts there!
