It's passed through in West Malvern with a howling gale that has now subsided and rain. No hail or T&L so we were let off lightly.

Woohoo, just had a kickass storm here.  Loads of CG, hail and loud loud thunder.  Best direct hit I've had here in years, even scared me just a little bit :-)

Very brief here in kidderminster. About three big rumbles of thunder, a couple of lightening flashes and squally winds. rain and hail battering the back windows (which face north)

Wow, looks like Home really took a direct hit this afternoon. Radar shows a big torrential core just passing through. Typical!

Dad reports hail and thunder from Rugby now.

As did relatives in Coventry!

I know how that feels working in Bristol at the moment, phoned home and could hear the thunder in the background :-(

Apparently according to 102.5 The Bridge in Stourbridge a bolt of Lightning has struck a house in Wynall, near Pedmore.

I was half way through helping my Dad on his afternoon stroll when I noticed the horizon turn black and thunder rumbling in the distance. I ended up having to dash back to the house to fetch his wheelchair, we just about made it back in time before the heavens opened!

Temp currently 3.1c, DP is 1.0c

Sun out here now, and the wind has dropped back. Bit like March and April.

Great squall line here in Newbridge, Wolverhampton. This is how the radar looked at 2:15 with some pretty bright purples and whites right overhead. Beautiful shelf cloud racing south with hail 10mm in diameter, and some very big lightning flashes and cracks of thunder.

it was an impressive storm anymore on the way guys? Now if we get some snow next week that would put the icing on the cake. So lets hope we coldies get what we want.

Quite an entertaining display of thunderhail that was, with a nice white (patchy) covering in places. Some nice boomy rumbles and flashes of lightning mixed in too. Thank you Solihull Storm shield for collapsing. :) Do it again sometime please. :-)

There is no doubt that Wolverhampton down to Stourbridge and over towards Birmingham have seen the worst of the rain and hail and storms today!

Nice to be the focal point for exciting weather. Felt like it was our turn again!

Has been a great afternoon. Very calm and bright outside now...you never would have known that squall happened.

Just the tonic we needed this winter!

In Corby Northamptonshire now.

Sky went really black, street lamps came on, thunder and lightning started.

Lots of hail, which turned to snow and now heavy rain.

Well, that was better than anything we had last summer! Lot's of lightning, hail, which is still piled up against fences & very gusty winds. Anyone know why winter thunder never sounds so loud or last as long? Is it to do with humidity & the thickness of the air?

Actually managed thunder AND lightning briefly in Telford earlier  very vicious squall line with large hail, was all over in a matter of a few minutes but a nice surprise none the less!
