Early morning showers a brought a mixture rain sleet and Snow high up to places like Fox House. Snow heavy enough to briefly cover the road in parts. Walking in peak district and light showers with the odd bit of sleet carried on before dying out at 11 O'clock. So far a rare day which can be actually called cold

An update to our stevenson screen journey. We are almost there now. The final bits and pieces are coming together. Today the solar panel for the inside fan was fitted and it was sprayed white for the extra protection from the sun and elements. This little box has really come a long way in its journey. Anyone could buy a stevenson screen, but its been great fun to build one and the satisfactions seeing it come together is great. . . . . Check out its latest update here . . . http://www.westonweather.co.uk/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=18

A few showers of rain and sleet first thing this morning but becoming dry by 1000 with increasing amounts of sunshine during the afternoon as the Cu and Sc gradually dispersed.

The lowest maximum of the winter so far providing the temperature doesn't unexpectedly rise later in the night.
