It seems to have stopped raining according to Davis but not light enough to see, had 7.6mm yesterday evening so the wettest in a 24 hour period 00-00 period since 9.2mm on 21 October 2013, but another 3.0mm since midnight. Ironic we are so wet after being so dry with so many folk being flooded, lowest T=5.3C at the moment

 

update at 0830=still raining with a further 0.6mm since last post

A cloudy, mild and wet night with the maximum temperature occurring around 0100. Some of the rain was heavy during the early hours but it cleared to the east by 0500 and was followed by a significant drop in temperature and and increase in wind strength.

It's the first morning since December 8th that the wind hasn't had a southerly component to it.

After a mild start the day time temperature stayed at average values for the time of year. Early dawn showers and then dry until the afternoon when showers returned to the region.

Heavy rain overnight with a large clap of thunder just before 4am. 9.2mm of rain since midnight but 18.8mm since yesterday evening so a rather wet 24 hours. Today saw further showers early on before turning sunny during the afternoon. Mild again but just failing to reach double figures.

Sunny intervals and the occasional spot of showery rain this morning. A brief moderate shower early this afternoon and one or two light ones later on but a few sunny intervals between them. 

A fairly windy day again with several gusts over 40 mph.

A day littered with showers and cloud blustery at times,miserable.max 6 deg.

Just to note been up the northeast and the wet start turned into a lovely sunny day!
