It's raining here but no where near as rough as last night, heard a huge clap of thunder at 6 this morning, woke me up, must have woken a lot of people up as it was so loud.

46mm here, 324mm for the month, getting silly now.

The two nearest PWS on Wunderground recorded 292mm and 288mm this month so it sure has been crazy wet here.

Cairngorm reporting 900cms of snow depth on the summit - WOW - just think if that had transfered across the country with temps a little lower! - life would have become literally impossible - and they are still struggling to dig out the resorts themselves now with lifts and huts covered etc - even on the middle they have 500cms and average - ie 600m asl 100cms

Ptarmigan T-Bar in 7 - 8 metres of snow

Impressive for any month let alone about half-way through February (2nd driest month of Autumn/Winter) after a previous 2 months of crazy above average rainfall. A winter that will go down in history for sure.

Hi All.................

Are we likely to get any cold by the end of this so called poor of an excuse of a winter??????

No ones come out of bermudas and tank tops in Neath this winter.  Sun bed shops are taking a hammering.

you might wanna try Japan - A metre and a half of snow fall fell in just 12 hours - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-26222457

no sign of any late snow at the mo in these parts!

hints of something wintry at the end of this week (21st) - 24hr snap shall we say - probably hail showers - and another one possibly around 25th - otherwise loads more rain!

The second mildest day of the winter today at 8.1c and still wet well after last night, today might of been sunny with the odd shower.

But I doubt the multi rain records will go if this carries on with more rain on a similar amount.
