Am I right is saying this latest storm seems to be staying west a little longer before crossing the UK? The forecast wind for South/South West Wales is down on yesterday and the warning has dropped to yellow from yesterdays amber.

Which explains why it's the North West that looks now to take the brunt as highligted by Bobby above.

Yes. Let's be clear, this is bad just about everywhere in Wales. Only question is how bad. It's high res now so it should do as it is told. SHOULD.

But tomorrow is a very dangerous day indeed. More dangerous than last Saturday because it comes in the day. Best hope is for any snow to keep people at home for a few hours and, perhaps, they will then work at home or take a day off.

South West Wales looks to be apocalyptic. If I were in charge of something like Bluestone I'd consider a confinement to chalet instruction.

Rain with a touch of hail here, very unlikely it'll get cold enough for us to see a few flakes round this way though. I can still hope it gets blown slightly off course. :)

Wow, went for a walk with the dog to the top of the mountain at around 400m - there was a whiteout for about half hour with visibility 100m or less at times, some of the heaviest snow I've seen... proper stuff. About an inch settled while I was up there. More a slushy dusting down here, not really a covering so my hat is safe for now. Felt the temperature drop quite a bit after it cleared, hopefully should help get some proper snow lower down later.

Elevation is going to be key for snow tonight - and further north with elevation. I think it's anything over 250m and mid Wales will have a nice covering until early morning when the rain has kicked in.

Any points further south will get sleety showers at best.

I am just below the snow line here in Bargoed which is a bit gutting - could do with a rain respite though which is not happening in the immediate future.
