with all this rain we've had - look at the totals in cms for the ski resorts in Scotland right now - temps a tad lower could have delivered this country wide - the Mail and Express headlines would have been right on the money

West Scotland - Glencoe - 150cms!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image

Exciting stuff guys :D I expect many places will see flakes even if there's no settling going on.

A few flakes of snow here, mixed with rain/sleet/hail, nothing settling here though :)

A little bit of wet snow from the heavy looking area of precipitation on the radar, not close to settling.

Better than nothing and hopefully more to come.

Starting to settle now - mix of hail and snow, mostly hail.

Could be very icy in the morning.

Hope Welshgritter is working tonight.

I've moved down to Swansea last week, and while it has many advantages, I do mourn the snow-friendliness of my previous mid-Wales location. Radar suggest it is snowing in Llandrindod Wells now, which would be the first since Christmas there.

No snow yet in my (low down) part of Swansea, just a bit of hail about half an hour ago. Am hoping for a bit of snow in showers over the next few hours.

There was a flash of lightning here a few minutes ago, but didn't way to say anything as there didn't appear to be anything on any Lightning Detectors.

I wonder - seems like a larger "splodge" "cloud formation" (techy terms) - out to the west of Ireland barreling it's way towards us - wonder if that can deliver over night to us? - http://www.sat24.com/en/gb?ir=true

edit:- just coming into the west of Ireland now!

Had some heavy hail today but nothing snow wise here, can hope for later but doubt it! Very windy though!
