Here in Failsworth, I have seen everything today. Wind, sun, rain, sleet, snow, hail, thunder.

I have just nearly thrown my phone cos of that bug u av running about thought it was on my screen lol

Lol that caught me out a few years ago!! Does your head in...you dont want to nreak your phone, not much fun, no internet, no heating but yet snowing outside, what a bummer!! Seriously though, hope you get your heating fixed,,,happens at my parents all the time with their boiler, two days of freezing weather over a month ago and their heating packs in.

Snowy scene was whiteout a few minutes ago.....came down even heavier ten minutes ago but stopped now and radar says no more....flakes were massive though.... Lovely while it lasted.... Freeze over tonight i think.....met weather warning out for ice now....

We had heavy snow here about 1hour ago but other than on the cars, nothing stuck.

Maybe up the hill is covered but it was just slightly to warm at the time.

Now it's cleared the temperature has fallen back, 1.1c currently.

Jack here apart from a bit of sleet, doesn't float my boat, doubt that crap will do the trick next week either, hoping for a big proper easterly after a mid Feb Sudden stratospheric warming.

-1c clearing skies......my car has ice on from melted hail/snow frozen to it, bin lids frozen solid too.... Icy is the word...

so some snow around the region earlier and down to quite low levels,just goes to show you don't need -10 uppers

for the white stuff 

I will be very surprised if most of the region has not seen a covering in the next 7-10days if not sooner......

That's the thing as little as 30 metres (about 100 feet) higher in elevation or if an area is under a heavier band and those can make all the difference. A similar thing happened here last Winter, places in lower parts of Manchester hardly had any snow at all but we had a few measurable events here.

I don't half get narked about the inconsistency of some posters such as one yesterday belittling snow prospects on a westerly flow then the next day, hey I'm not surprise x got snow and it's up for grabs.

Definite chill this evening - coldest night of the year so far? -  excitement up a notch for the sleet hail and slight ppn dusting late afternoon on the Fylde.

Everthings frozen over making for nasty conditions under foot and the funny thing is theres a noticeable westerly blowing which usually keeps the temp comfortably above freezing!

Took dog out and its really crunchy n icy out.....driving womt be fun.... -2c....gritters around here seem to be taking the p..... Piles of the stuff in various places but washed down the road.....oh dear.... Not much use encased in ice....
