Yep looking like the Irish sea machine is starting to fire up, dew point here is now low enough for snow.

You're not wrong.. I gave up posting in the model thread for this reason, and also because my one liners where being mistaken for wind ups. Still If you watch the models alot, you get a hint of when models are right and models are wrong.. All to often the best way to resolve whether a model is right or wrong, is to use your instinct.. overanalysis will results in analyses that aren't always correct.

each to there own stephen, there doesnt seem to be a reliable anymore and the posts are so confusing so dont go on there much now stick to the local thread

Clear here, the westerly/southwesterly orientation is taking showers to the north of here cooling down slowly too, 4.7C currently.

Had a very shortlived heavy hail shower a couple of hours ago but nothing since. Could see some sleety wet snowflakes overnight and it would be nice to see some first thing in the moment.

Well, that's it winters over again.

10 out of 10 on the irritation stakes with just enough on my drive to make walking up it without crampons almost impossible.

Showers seem to have a WSW alignment about them, nothing particularly unusual in that but to get snow from them certainly is, especially after the weeks of mild dross that's come from that direction.

If we can keep the feed going without to much mixing out of the cold we could finally see something of note across the region in the next couple of days.

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?
