Only if the cold uppers were lower no warm fronts tomorrow then we would've see the repeat of Dec 2010.

We didnt get heavy snow pip ! I guess its cause im down in the dip if thats possible in leyland, must be the flatest place on earth! Lol...its gone slushy rain out there now not white over anymore from the halistone and sleet before, i did hear one crack of thunder about 20 mins ago though but thats when it went slushy after that.

We may get lucky this time now. HEAVY SNOW HERE NOW!!! Sadly it didn't stick.

I'm guessing the west pennine moors will have a first good pasting of the season.

It could've been heavy hail. Its hard to know because its dark. My friend who lives in Coppull had snow lying on the pavement. Its about roughly an cm of it.

Torrential hail followed by snow (and a lightning strike somewhere in the village) just now, easing off somewhat but radar shows more to come.

Tailed off a bit just went outside and it was lovely....looking at radar may get heavier again..... Temp 1.2c.....gusty wind too.... No thunder or lightening.....was beginning to think ive moved here so now it wasnt going to snow....if the precip was heavy enough it would lay....was very heavy for five minutes and started laying on wheelie bin, car etc but slowed now..... Bring on this week if its going to actually snow proper ie inches on the ground....

That is a example how unexpected weather could bring.

Surprise snow + Rush hour = Whole town goes lock down.

That was a real nice surprise that. Coming down the M60 I spotted that huge streamer and seen how intense it looked...

BOOM thunder followed by Lightening as I approached....

Still not under the streamer yet.... I glanced at the temperature gauge... 8C....

500 yards more down the M60...huge hail storm, I'm now under the streamer... Temp gauge, 8C...7C....6C....5C....4C....3C.... Snow starts falling, sleet, hail... More snow...

The Great British Weather ! You have to love it.
