Torrential rain here in SE London.Looking at the radar a streamer is setting up from the South coast,a narrow band of heavy rain.

Hmmm. That northern finger of rain looks like it's travelling along its own axis at the moment. Maybe I might get more rain here than I would like too? :(

Back from the MDT. Maybe the beans will be spilt by Fergie in the morning? Posted Image Very good post by Chionomaniac though, which I might not have spotted.

(unfortunately one or two paranoid posts too, which seem par for the course there and always degrade my experience on that thread.) Posted Image

Mine too. some.....er... dubious characters

Very sad to hear news of the crash at Cley - R.I.P. to the crew.  Fortunate that it didn't hit the village itself, though it may have been heroism/skill on the part of the pilot.

it's here & it's hammering it down ,beyond ridiculous now ? I've got a man from the council coming tomorrow to my swamp ,just hope he brings a boat to inspect my garden as one of there trees fell into my fencing ,he's already trying to shift the blame onto the people who built my house ? Fun times , I might just tip him out of his boat if he doesn't sort out my fences or steal his ores . Poor sod lol

I've got the third damp seepage into my bedroom this winter now.  They've already taken away the chimney stack after two days of scaffolding (replete with satellite dish which never worked again upon replacement) and it's looking like a case of "make room for the mushrooms" again on the inside of the wall which resembles a fungal Jackson Pollack. .  Now I know how the Brontes caught consumption.  No vertiginous heating bills thus far but plenty of other financial weather induced outlay.  Bring on the cold.

  • Chilly with an increasing risk of frost

Once Monday's band of rain fades, the next few days will be drier. However, it will feel cool, even cold, in the breeze or under gloomy skies, with an increasing risk of frost. Read the full update here

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall. Week Ahead: Cool but largely dry until later in the week, when low pressure returns

We keep a chilly northerly flow going through much of the coming week, especially noticeable in the east. Cloud and rain spreading south Monday, but after that, most places largely dry until later in the week, when it looks to turn more showery. Read the full update here
