At least these guys seemed to know what they were talking about, even though their tools were way more primitive than now. We currently, on BBC Look East, have someone called Julie Reinger, who seems more of a presenter, than an enthusiast and who I suspect has less weather knowledge than most people on here... Leave Jools alone!Posted ImagePosted Image If you want an error-strewn forecast from someone with a degree in a not-unrelated subject, you need to focus on Alex whatshername.

Feeling warm, but that may have something to do with shifting sofas and furniture around on me own.

Seems to have stopped raining here now, not sure if there will be any or much star gazing before bed later though.

normally i would have hated these

however we had to have something to dislodge the jet from its current position

which i feel has done the trick

the sunspots showing 1944 and 1946 still look likely to create more flares

however after that the sun looks to calm down again and then get that jet properly south

the sun has been quiet for about 3-4 weeks before this

these are my opinions only Posted Image

hi surrey that low looks a shade further south than last night

heavier stuff north of the thames still but showers still likely all regions due to them fronts

maybe some heavy bursts again when they pass across us

Still above 8oC here, balmy.

Yes, it is. Not necessarily for snow, but just to end the infernal Atlantic rain train. That bit seems to be coming anyway. Snow would be nice.

Anyway," Bah, Humbug!" season is over.

I don't think Alex or Jools are poor at presenting the weather. In fact they are better than several other local presenters.

The reality is that most people prefer dumbed down forecasts without the isobars. Both of the Look East presenters at least have some technical stuff every forecast.

I think this is down to them knowing that a significant number of the people watching are farmers and want the technical stuff

John, A Superb set of charts. Cool at first cold later.

As you say if this doesn't pan out we may as well give up.

In Walton on Thames tonight, at least it was a dry day, even if its got bad again tonight
