Is it Spring today?Feels like it.

It really was glorious today!

But what does it take to get a dry 24 hours or so? The frontal rain cleared at around midnight and I thought we were looking at staying dry until Tuesday but, guess what (!!??), I've just been out to the garage and it is pouring down!

Could mean problems later and in the morning once the temperature drops.

Its a cold night on the moors! Currently -0.3c here and we had a lot of ice this morning.... John Hammond alluded to something colder later this week, hopefully the cold air will push further west....

Lovely day indeed. Thoughts of spring no doubt. Monday will be dry as well. Rather cool now at 2.6c.

I did see a dry spot appear in back yard yesterday, and I notice it's gone again this morning thanks to overnight rain. Found my new shed is leaking, dohPosted Image

Let's see if it will dry out again today.

Glorious day yesterday for a cycle ride, took in the Gloucestershire/Herefordshire border wall to wall sunshine although there is plenty of flooding still about. Over night it got close to freezing therefore there was a frost this morning, although partly cloudy skies and a short shower first thing which was odd but has been glorious again today.

So for the first time in over 3 weeks, it looks as though we're going to finally get a rain-free day!

I had 2.2mm from some heavy showers this morning, so technically it wasn't a dry day but it has been glorious for the majority of it, spent a few hours spinning at Peveril point in Swanage this afternoon, visibility was superb!

The IoW was clear, wish I had my tripod with me ..

It should have been the only dry day of the week here according to all the forecasts, but sure enough rain has pitched up yet again. Not just a little rain either - it's been raining since 4:30pm. So that's nearly four hours of completely unforecasted rain. It sounds far fetched, but check the NW radar. I was hoping for some better short-range forecasts this year, but this is a lamentable start.
