There is no such thing as a "Mini Tornado". It is either a tornado or not a tornado, why do the papers persist calling them mini tornado's?

Morning Beast

Glad to see you got some of the white stuff, so did we, but hail not snow!!!

We had an incredible hail storm at around 3.00pm. A nice thick layer that layed for an hour or so.

My daughter made a hail man and we put him in the freezer. Pretty sad really that it's come to this.

Frozen car door, and scraping chunks of ice off the screen this morning, along with patches of ice on the road.

Somebody threw winter at us, all in one morning.

What's this??? A frost!

I get to open that can of De-icer I brought in November now. :)

Looks like a sparkling day coming up though.

Think we only got as far as -0.1 where I live so enough for a frost and I suspect lower in more rural parts. Certainly looked and felt like it when I took the horse around the roads near 8am.....hmm quite interesting at one point as I had to weave on the verges to avoid the slippery roads. Fortunately he has sense to slow right up and take very small steps when it was probably black ice underfoot. Clever Horse that!

So lovely to see the sun and I oh so wish for many more days like today....if only. Back to the wind and rain we go I hear again......:(. although I did peak at the model thread and there was some enthusiasm - albeit acknowledged by most on there as being FI and  premature as it was the +196 runs as I recall. But it is good to dream and have aspirations isn't it? Even if they are computer generated. Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image

Proper morning. Marble looking ice on the car, iced up doors, 20 mins late to work farting about on getting the car road worthy. Coldest night of the ahem winter at -1.6C.

Problem is i want more cold more ice more wintery weather. One day every month is not on!!

Horrible thick drizzle/light rain here. The stuff that really soaks you through instantly. Misty and nasty. COME ON SUMMER!

Enjoyed winter yesterday morning. Was a nice change.

Back to DANK today! :(

Hopefully Feb will give us a late wintry blast before we ascend into a convective spring and sultry but stormy summer.

This is the worst winter for a long time, given up hope of seeing any decent cold and snow now. Get ready for a huge amount of spiders this year, been perfect winter for them still seeing loads at work! Heres hoping next year is better!
