Yes Liam, i was watching this earlier but the 12z output didn't ramp it up. A real watch the Obs situation now though.

Already quite windy in some Irish locations.

Gusting to 44 knots in south Dublin (Casement)

Next few frames on EURO4 will be very interesting. At this stage though the Obs are very key over the coming hours...

Would be quite windy alright, however it is a bit of an outlier as the 18z HIRLAM did not develop it.

Just going to have to keep an eye on Observations to the southwest over the next 6-12hours.

Really lashing it down out there, garden is a pond again. Another 9 hours+ of this forecast, could be some big totals by the morning.

This nasty feature is getting interesting with the EURO4 joining the NAE. Doesn't seem to be much support from elsewhere, anyone know if it's on the 18z UK NMM? Could be a nasty late development, the ingredients are there for something like that forming. NAE looks really nasty for N and W Wales/NW England.

Flamin' 'eck where has this popped up from?

Maybe too many folk are looking at fl charts crew lol!

i have been looking at the latest charts (12z,18z) and most of them are picking this up.

Well, I definitely wasn't expecting either the EURO4 or NAE to be showing these sort of charts all of a sudden - especially given that the potential impact from this is about 12 hours from now! Definitely going to be a nervous night for those at the Met Office.

Luckily for the people who've alreayy been battered by countless storms in the last few weeks, the NAE and EURO4 seem to be the only ones developing this low quite that deep. Maybe they are the outliers, but on the other hand they could be picking up a trend.

Looks like it may be down to nowcasting again come tomorrow morning. I'm sure the Met will issue warnings if/where they feel necessary if the next runs show more of the same.

Winds gusting 50-55mph atm with flooding issues just being exacerbated,  the ground just cannot hold any more water!

Good job - it looks like it could be fairly serious, albeit for a relatively small area. Using the EURO4 model (NAE is pretty much identical) strongest winds across North Wales, the North Midlands and NW England:

Later transferring east by mid-afternoon with worst winds across Yorkshire and the northeast:

The potential is there for quite widespread gusts up to 60mph in these areas, 70mph on high ground and possibly even 80mph along the coasts. Combining this with it occurring in the middle of the day and with little warning - the risk of disruption is heightened.

Dry at the moment with no wind strange

Little wind because the low pressure centre is just about over you now, strongest winds to the south of it
