This has major storm written all over it for Lancashire, Cumbria, Yorkshire etc tomorrow midday-ish. Each Euro4 model run today has increased INLAND wind gusts. I would imagine there's going to be some major damage done.

Yet the BBC forecast I just watched said a notch down on Monday's storm. 109MPH gust already would seemingly go against this notion.

Not merseyside then?!

And haha monday's storm was nothing up here.

I've never seen winds like this! I can totally believe the wind gust for both Aberdaron and Capel Curig! It feels like the roof of my house is ready to rip off any minute! Reports of road closures around the Arfon area and police escorting people around! Stay safe everyone!

It's all gone quiet here. Gusts have been declining in the past hour or so.

You're kiddin' right? Ok you're not then wow.

No not at all, Facebook is going wild at the moment! I really haven't seen it like this. I live about 200m above sea level where wind is common even on a calm day but this is just something else. I'll try and record a clip for you!

Seems to be easing off a bit here now, good time to sneak off to sleep before the racket starts again!

Some kind of creepy banging noise coming from the roof area every time there is a gust.

Well, the squall line just passed through. I can only describe it as being like someone dousing the front of the house with a fireman's hose....or going through one of those drive through car washes.

LOL!

Well seems to have eased off here with the passage of the CF.

for the record all the weather sites had st bees head down for 65 mph gusts around midnight then around 75mph tomorrow, yet they've had....2200 62 mph, 2300 72mph, 0000 76mph, 0100 85mph gusts. They've all underestimated it me thinks.

The wind in north west Wales has been nuts tonight and the 109 mph gust in aberdaron is very believable if you live in my area wow.. Major damages will be reported in the morning!

Calmed down a fair bit since the squall passed. Was quite a few bursts of intense rain there. Radar shows this. Wind was really going for it for a time!

Careful now, you'll have the north/south split brigade telling you there's no such thing next!

Very gusty now with the cold front passing over but nothing exceptional - the occasional gust nearing 60mph with heavy rain. Sounds quite bad though!

Yeah its calmed down here a fair bit now, even though it wasnt too bad in the first place. Can still hear it ROARING above though, so I guess the higher exposed locations around here are getting it.
