Gales here since about 7pm.

Electic had gone off, now on half power, due to an electic generator caught fire just down the street!

Things crashing in the garden and something fallen off the roof.

Not looking forward to inspect the roof tomorrow!

Scary stuff, considering it's going to get worse....!

Violent winds now. This is a solid stone house but it feels as if it is shaking with the stronger gusts. Power went down for about 5 seconds, will be surprised if we don't get a full blown (pun certainly intended) power cut.

The Menai Strait must be a bit choppy at the moment. I wouldn't want to be standing on the head of the Great Orme or Penmaenmawr/Llanfairfechan hills right now. Especially not on the southwestern side or summit of Holyhead Mountain.

I'm not sure Surrey but it's quite windy here in somerset already, really didn't think we would be bothered too much by the storm but it sounds rough out there
