Merry Christmas everyone... I really need to go to bed now, otherwise the big man might not drop in...

Morning all and Happy Christmas.Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

That said the latest news from Surrey is a bit grim, Godalming apparently is the latest town there to be affected by flooding and the emergency services are on the scene.

Yes, it does feel a bit sombre here in the South East - but Merry Christmas everyone, and look out for your neighbours...

So sad hearing about all the weather related problems & deepest sympathy greenhithe , my thoughts are with you & your love ones at this difficult time . I do hope there are no further problems for anyone else . My fence panels came down last night , but hearing about all the sadness certainly puts things into prospective ! Blessings to you all xxxx

First of all, so sorry Greenhythe to hear of your loss, such a difficult time of year, if ever there is a good one, for a bereavement; thoughts are with you.

Here, presents are finally wrapped, and 14 year old is still up saying 'this is the first time I have ever seen presents under the tree BEFORE I get up for Christmas morning'; we're off to bed now. Parents are trying to sleep in our bed tonight after the journey from the west country was surprisingly straightforward despite the flood risk, while my sister never made it into work in darkest Surrey.

Anyway, Merry Christmas everyone. Have a lovely day:)

Ha! Well that will keep Father Christmas on his toes won't it? Never been woken by thunder on Christmas morning before. Three loud bangs so far!

Firstly and most importantly sorry for your lost greenhythe, whilst no time is nice, this time of of the year always seem more poignant to me.

Morning all, can report safe arrival of Father Christmas to Dartford, only wish we could get in front room, think he might have been a generous to our grand daughter, boy got round at 7 after dropping his girlfriend off at work at darenth valley, grand daughter arrival is due around 12. Its dry out, but could have done without the phone call from the environmental agency last night, don't they know we are 110' above sea level!

Hope everyone have the best Christmas that they possible can in the circumstances.
