1st squall looks set to hit me in about half an hour, and instead of passing it's going to trail its whole tail through my location.

After that I'll be off to bed Posted Image

On a side note a small airbus has been circling Brighton airport now for about 20 minutes trying to land, must have made at least 4 attempts!

Those two squals now seem to be joined by some lighter rainfall in between was hoping for the rain to get patchy.

Just a heads up for you SE folk, that squall means business. Fields, roads and gardens are flooded near here. Even my extension is leaking!

Never seen such conditions in all my life!

Take care everyone,

SM

Barcelona flight home and dry Posted Image

Well, maybe not dry....expect there's still a few damp bits of carpet in the cabin and possibly the cockpit, but at least they're down :p

Hi SL......I'm guessing you are asking me ?!  I'm about 7-8 miles north of Uxbridge and despite the raging winds and incessant rain my power supply has been fine so far. I hope I haven't spoken too soon Posted Image

Things still bad here. Just seen on my local news that homeowners in low lying parts of the town are out trying to protect their homes from the rising levels in the river Uck. Gardens already flooded and the local nature reserve is under 2 feet of water. That was at 2.45am and it's still raining! With the run off from the fields further upstream still to filter through, the bottom of the town could be flooded by the morning.

This is really horrible now. I am hoping that it will start to calm down soon.

The gusts of wind are horrendous.

Really no need to apologise !!

The wind finally seems to have eased off here for now, but looking at the radar I suspect there may be a sting in the tail. I hope you don't lose your power in the meantime.Posted Image

Winds here are freaking me out at the min, not sure what they are gusting at but seem the strongest all night. Just started hamering it down so I take it this is the squall.
