Defiantly picking up here now,few strong gusts in the past 10 mins and i think the wheelie bin grand prix is taking place on my street!

Right on cue at just gone midnight MASSIVE gust, things just got serious if there's anymore of what I just felt, thought the windows where going to come in. Not funny anymore!

Back from the pub, and the walk was quite exhilarating.  I'd say they weren't majorly damaging though; okay the wind shrieked through telegraph wires, rather than whistled, so probably force 7 to 8. Let's see what the next 4 hours bring...

Love the noise of whistling telephone wires.

Do I need to use capitals now? I was 17, not drunk, and it's my opinion on how I felt it felt then and how I'm feeling it now!! Nothing technical just my opinion!!

Kent approaching 80mph Gusts. Headcorn Aerodrome (inland) recent gust 77mph.

Just had a light flicker!

 

We have a very strange brown out. Got about 15% of normal power. Been like it for about an hour. Most things not working at all. Some modern lights about 40% but most at weak candle level. The only thing that seems normal is the internet & laptop on battery. Very weird atmosphere..

Anyone else having problems with their mobile signals? Mine is really struggling, wonder if the mobile towers are suffering?

Anyone else staying up to see this through in our region ? Quite apart from the wind, the rain is cause for some concern now. It's hammering down.

Occasional sudden and very big gusts but significant lulls between them lasting a few minutes, steady wind still not particularly strong but its building now as I type lol.

Seems to be calmer than before around here, i cant really hear the wind as much as before.

Last time electric got shut off not managed that yet but serious constant winds and that rain jesus keeps battering windows must be horrible driving conditions out there.
