What on earth is up with this aircraft ?http://www.flightradar24.com/EIN724

I'll make a guess that it tried Heathrow, no joy then Gatwick, the same, and has now decided to go back to Cork rather than deliver passengers to somewhere where there maybe no trains etc. Perhaps will try for Heathrow again in the morning. Interesting flight though - glad I'm not on it!

My lights flickered about half hr ago, this is a possible sign of (it's gettin scary out there) trees touching power cables across the fields, next stage could be power cuts, hope not..

I told you. Worse than expected. Like I said. Something about this is unnerving.

Sounds wrong but I been waiting for this storm all day, hope everyone is safe same time I am looking forward to next hours.

Welcome to Net-Weather Reindeer. It sure if powerful & wet out there !

Keep an eye on the huge Squall Line Britstol - Derby, it's got a small LEWP type going on there, and for those that don't know, a LEWP can often spawn a Tornado.. Something we don't want !

It seems they are popping up a little more often now too.

thank you for the welcome. porch roof now got tiles rattling. metal patio table being moved around by the wind despite me flipping it over earlier so the wind couldn't get under it

Looking at the N end of the squall line and estimating backward, I reckon this will hit me in Beverley in 30 minutes or so. Not looking forward to that: the tree in the back garden lost a large limb on the 5th that missed the house. Tonight's wind direction would be a direct hit if it decides to shed another one. Gulp!

What is the name of this storm??? if there is not one then take a look at this list and maybe give a name?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/December_23 - the storm developed on the 23rd so something appropriate to the event, just looking now..

Already going through by the looks of it. Rain has been fairly heavy here until very recently, and the wind is howling.

The weather has really picked up wind wise here.

For those pondering EIN724 went around, was diverted to the Ockham hold, they considered their options then returned to cork.

Im hoping this passes without causing too much chaos to the trains, but this seems unlikely for those poor people who need them tomorrow!
