Stay ON topic please.

None of this north vs south carry on and bickering etc

Very possible given the dynamics in play - very powerful jet stream charging right towards our little islands!

Been many years since we've had such a stormy looking Xmas period, the late 90's spring to mind for some of the most active.

So many different possibilities and a little too early to speculate about which 1 is most likely to come off but pretty scary scenario for most of us based on those charts!

These ensembles for Friday are off the chart, never seen anything like it over the UK in the internet era. The worst of these ensembles would give the Burns day storm a run for its money.

Probably worse in some ways at they suggest the LP covers a much wider area, most of the UK look in for very strong if not exceptionally strong winds whereas the Burn's Day storm was very much a southern event!

Saddest part of Fridays charts is the loss of life you know will happen!!For weather enthusiasts it's great....

just like snow, hot temps, low temps, ice, floods......

Looks scary don't get me wrong but I think on Friday more people will be stationary and not travelling about as much comparatively speaking with tomorrow / Xmas eve so this might lessen the number on injuries and or fatalities with any luck!

Does anyone think that the Arsenal vs Chelsea match will go on tomorrow night? Sorry if of topic just want to know for travel arrangements!!! :/

Might be advisable to check the club websites or call them up to enquire.

Sadly the Daily Star said something about this 2 weeks ago. I was hoping it wouldn't happen just to prove them wrong.

Still, no sign of the 3 months' of snow that Rao of the Express predicted.

The daily express got tomorrow's storm right a week ago!!!Maybe we should look to them for our knowledge from now on.Lol

Hmmm.. yeah I bet they went OTT with their headlines though didn't they?.. with something along the lines of 'BRITAIN SET FOR 100MPH HURRICANE THAT'LL END CHRISTMAS FOREVER!  lmao
