I shall have to revise my forecast from my original thoughts of 3c back in Nov a little now, I thought we may get a more respectable CET going into the last week, I still haven't changed my thoughts of a potential very cold last few days but the mild start going to kill off any chance of below average month.

4.4 please.

If it was for my location, I could see it returning a figure a degree below that but not for Worcester.

By no means certain though, if some decent PM incursions to temper the dross are followed by an anticyclonic spell in mid month (which there was some very dry days on the ECM 0z ens for London), then it would just need a few days or a week at the end of the month with a bitter Easterly to see it come in 0-5 - 1c below average, the smart money for now though says 0.5 - 1c above average.

I have just posted a table of entries in the comp thread.

As of now, 75 entries, the median is 4.1 C.

Here are some vacant spots to save you the bother of looking ...

4.7, 5.6, 5.7, 5.8, 6.1, 6.2, 6.3, 6.4, 6.5, 6.8, 6.9 (and some higher ones)

2.8, 2.5, 2.3, 1.9, 1.8, 1.7, 1.6, 1.5, 1.3, 1.2 (and some lower ones)

Will update that table as long as I can edit ... happy new year.

Oops- late entry, will have to take the penalty points on the chin.  5.4 it is.

5.9. Sorry for late entry. Thinking milder as we are probably due a mild winter statistically.

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall.
