not a poster but am a daily visitor  (check the arctic ice and model threads mainly)... anyway came across this today and thought it worth a share (and to hell with ruining my post count - lol)

if you click on 'Earth' you can change the height from 1000 to 10hpa.. you can spin the globe or change the map type, step through past data/forward projections, zoom etc.

 

updates every 3 hours... allegedly

 

 

not sure how much use it is but it's a pretty impressive overview of earth winds
