You missed the word thankfully off the start of it.It's done in that really patronising way like we should be greatfull for living in the land of crap weather while others are gloating about experiencing something to tell the grand kids about.

Incredible square line just passed through.

Torrential rain, large hail and the temperature fell over a degree in just a couple of minutes.

All gone quiet again now other than alarms going off.

At last the rain has stopped and the wind seems to have dropped. What will the rest of the evening bring ??

You may well do being as high as you are. Obviously depends on precipitation with the main band moving away from the region. Your best bet is late afternoon/evening tomorrow.

Do you mean there is a second batch of strong winds coming overnight? Because looking at the latest radar there isn't much more rain to come through.

Current position of the low to the northpost-16288-0-70446600-1387401492_thumb.j

She may get from good sources but ultimately she puts in her own words. It's not scripted and hence why she makes gaffes at times. For instance despite good sources as you put it, she once said we had clearing skies during the day when infact it was the exact opposite! She says despite the rain and cloud it will be a mild night, well that is precisely why it is a mild night during winter!

She also said in the forecast earlier on that the system today took its time because it was moving in from the west from the Atlantic. I cannot describe how much I wanted to curl up in embarrassment on her behalf. Shocking.

And the classic one I heard went something like heavy rain throughout the day and cloudy at times.

Or the time she quoted 10C being double 5C. D'oh!

15cm for higest parts like kinder scout etc, regarding habitable places, 5cm maybe 10cm at a real push, Draw a line from Buxton - Flash, across to Bradwell and Hope Valley, up towards the SW of Sheffield then up to Penistone, perhaps Holmfirth, across to the very East of Saddleworth near the moor then back down to Buxton and that's your sweet spot for tomorrow.

This bloody 4km takes a long while to come out doesn't it, the longest model, the only one I know that is not fully out before the analysis data collection of the next run!!
