Radar shows the main band of rain well across the region now.As for me, as close to Yorkshire as possible without falling into it, I'd expect it to reach here within the next 30 minutes or so and bring on a wet afternoon and evening.

chucking it down here

I'm getting tired of this crappy mild weather now. Its been like this since October. Hopefully by the end of this month it will become very cold by then. If not I'm gonna get RAGE!! Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image

Raw feeling day today, grounds quite sodden but we've not had the winds or rain some have experienced near coastal areas.  Maybe a sign of the atlantic quietening down mid month but that won't guarantee anything wintry.  I expect it will get colder at some point this winter and never again towards the end of Feb, will I think winter is almost over and spring around the corner after what happened last March-early April.... so still plenty of opportunities yet to see some of the white stuff.

Difference on the RADAR since a hour ago is pretty evident, strong returns embedded within that lot. Unfortunately most of it ending up on already saturated ground.

Well tonight is worse than are last storm here in Manchester. The rain is being driven in by a strengthening wind.  Some flooding again in the UK must happen.  I am sure the met said winds would not be strong, boy these are.!!

Just come back after dropping my daughter of at Edge Hill Uni at Ormskirk and the wind is far stronger there than IMBY.

Stayed dry on the way home but has hammered it down since we got back in the house.

Interested to see if I can get some lightning this evening. Seem to have missed all the rain today and only a bit windy.
