I'm sat in the chair wondering whether an alcohol free January is the best of most stupid resolution I've made. And yes there is nothing happening outside other than darkness.

I haven't had one since the late 20th century.Showers are a wonderful invention; I might think about getting one put in as I think folk are starting to notice now:-)

Tiny bit of white (snow rather than frost I'd guess) at about 1400ft on the moors around here.

No frost here this morning started to rain now.

Just stared here.2.1c so cold but unsurprisingly not cold enough for it to fall as snow or probably even sleet.

No probably more like a pick up your empty crisp packets storm:-)Seriously though, the forecast is for wind strengths of less than the previous events but will still be gusty I'd imagine.

There's nothing unhealthy about a fry up.It's only when you eat it that it becomes unhealthy.

Radar shows the main band of rain well across the region now.

As for me, as close to Yorkshire as possible without falling into it, I'd expect it to reach here within the next 30 minutes or so and bring on a wet afternoon and evening.

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?
