Quite heavy snow on and off for the last hour or so but it didn't stick.Maybe a couple of hundred feet higher up the road it will have settled but nothing apart from wet here.Temperature 1.5c.

You're more than welcome to have some of my snow if we get any but with it being Christmas, I can't deliver.

Same here, Merry Christmas everyone and looking after looking at conditions in other parts of the country and the miserable time that thousands will be having; for once I'm glad we missed out again.

Reminiscing mood at the moment, thinking back 16 years ago this evening to that horrendous gale. Gawd what a gale that was, won't forget that one. The sound of the wind in the chimney, lights flickering, was the windows going to blow in?

16 years ago, how time has flown

Merry Christmas fellow North Westerner's - I doubt I will see a solitary falling snowflake tomorrow but it could be batten down the hatches again for Friday.  Got to be said though we've been spared the worst of it so far....

Its a lovely, sunny day today and it is chilly. Some high cloud in the sky making it a little milky.

Its a clear evening here and it is getting cold.

Its like a game of footie on my signature below, I'm gonna expect a draw between Frosts and Windstorms by the end of the year. So far tonight frost is might be in the lead. But there is another storm coming so it might drew 5-5 by then lol.

I'm gonna pick the frost team. Posted Image  Go team frost!!

its 4-4 right now.

1.3 °C here. Could I get my 4th air frost of the season? We'll see.

No signs of a downgrade for tonight/tomorrows storm and unless the emphasis changes we are right in the firing line this time around.

I would imagine that the Met O warning will be upgraded later this morning and will bring more southern parts of the region it to play for what could be the most potent spell of gales for ourselves so far this winter.

Its getting cloudier here and it is still pretty frosty outside. Chance of snow maybe?
