Already bored of this winter. I just cant see cold coming in models evwn way off into FI...

May be I'm just an optimist but I keep seeing a ridge develop that tries to get to Greenland, it keeps not making it though. Keep an eye on the charts just after Christmas, I feel it may start making it provided the low sent to Europe gets strong enough.

Afternoon all

Bit quiet in here today, anyway had a dry, clear and sunny morning here too, was nice to see some sunshine, bit more cloud has since arrived, and feeling cooler in the breeze, put the frost cover on the car windscreen as it looks like potential for frost here later if the breeze stays low, the cloud is rather thin and high and it is a tad rural here as well.

£2.6 Million quoted today, £795k of it very likely to be ordered before close of business tomorrow, the rest (with another company) on a 10 year contract if I get it right...

Evening all. It's nippy out there, 5c and currently a rain/sleet mix falling.

Wow, just had the brightest flash of lightning and a rumble of thunder.

Some big flashes starting here too now, some heavy ppn could really bring the temp down, shame we are too warm for thundersnow!

Still nice to see though.

Jut started hailing here... Peter Cockroft on BBC1 London now.

(Basically a thundery mix for the next couple of hours and a very wet Saturday)

EDIT: Massive flash and direct boom of thunder overhead! All the hairs are standing up on my head! That must have been close!!

A nice big, low, long rumble of thunder here just now too - very unusual for December.
