Being lazy here, was this the correct thread in which someone posted the TV listings the other day based the UK weather? Thanks in advance.

Wild here again, horizontal rain against the window and wind has whipped up.

Not sure I remember a time of such intense depressions.. January 2008 perhaps?

Slagging it down again.  Garden's like a quagmire.  Bits of twigs and general debris everywhere. Dull and gloomy all day so put all the lights on the tree and shut the curtains again soon after lunch.  Classic December weather really but I would quite like a few better days over the hols to get out with the family.

Looks like it's going to be a windy Christmas then? (Not talking about the sprouts either!) The only comfort I can find  is that this rut involves most of western/central Europe as well.  I don't expect it will last forever, I just wish it would get a move on!

We're getting blasted with that band of intense wind and horizontal rain now and for the last 10 minutes. End of our street looks hazy through such intense rain, in the lamppost light it almost looks like a blizzard!

That was impressive, rapid squall passing through, wind in all directions, blustery, torrential horizontal rain.

Am now immediately jealous of that comma North west on the image - packing in with plenty of sferics.

Squall just blown through here. Got very gusty very quickly. Quite a few lightning strikes towards the Sidlaws just north of Dundee as well.

Looks like the next few days are going to remain interesting weather wise...

Thunder and lightning storm here, lashing down and windy.

That's just started rattling against my kitchen window too, already!

I forgot to say that last night there was sleety mess all over the cars at this time, and yesterday morning the fields above the village (Fortrose is really a city cos of its cathedral Posted Image ) were white.

Inverness was just absolutely battered, very heavy rain and hail, quite insane gusts and a few flashes of lightning / grumbles of thunder.

Normally you would blame the pub run, for well, being the pub run...

However this is tonight's mean...

Mind boggling.

Yeah totally unbelievable charts. Usually you would see these charts in FI and laugh at them but there only 3-4 days away. Very worrying!

Morning all. Jings....that storm appears to be upgrading every time I read the thread on here. Very concerning to say the least, especially as it is only 72hrs or so away. Here's one that is going to get all fresh stuff for the meal in before Sunday at the latest 'cause I sure as hell aint going out in that! Christmas dinner by candlelight anyone?/

Heck, even the Washington Post has picked up on it! Posted Image   (Nice to see you back BUS!)

Cold 3c showery and breezy here this morning.Been sorting out broken limbs and branches off trees in the last few days and booked builder to replace wind blown slates on the old steading in the New Year as I think more will come off in the next few days.
