Thought that the sunny morning was too good to be true!  Heavy shower here atm, but it's ahead of the main band.

Any news on the western front? Doesn't look great for our chances now but we shall see. Posted Image

Its all about the timing in my view, the later it arrives after darkness the better. Central parts of the UK must be looking good judging by how slowly the precipitation is edging Eastwards.

Yes I think I will see sleet in all honesty, just not cold enough but shall see in a couple of hours.

Ever the optimist - pessimist. Posted ImageYour added elevation certainly elevates your likelihood for snow above us others not deemed so lucky. Posted Image

And 6.0c in my frost hollow of a valley. Hopefully the heavier it becomes the lapse rates etc. will drop. A nice wintry day out there today whatever way we call it at the moment though.

I mentioned about more rain on Monday.. The MO have delivered another yellow warning for rain!

The 06Z gives an indication on rainfall totals up to Monday night, could well be beyond that by then. Posted Image

Could be an interesting evening for many of us.

Snow, sleet, hail, rain, thunder & lightning all possible for a lucky few of us around the region.

It does seen to be splitting/weakening as it continues into the West Country though.

Its looking quite light and patchy now for west country looking at radar funny how it breaks up down here but intensifies over the river,  looks good for wales and midlands though

This morning we had heavy rain, hail and a few rumbles of thunder but now we're in the clearer showery conditions behind. Temperatures have been hovering around 5C .

Funny how if it were rain showers, they would intensify over the Bristol Channel yet whenever there is a sniff of anything wintry and Bristol Channel magically becomes too cold for any intensification to take place. Spit in the wind here at the moment with the temperature stuck at 4.9C.
