It's like being in firing line of a sprinkler outside at the moment - howling wind and thick drizzle. I'm strangely excited for a potential squall tonight though.

"W COUNTRY Mostly rain/hail showers Thurs PM. Chance of snow very knife-edge for complex reasons but most likely Glos uplands later afternoon. Most of region (if not all) should be ok tomoro & miss snow. Glos northwards into Midlands/Pennines, plus S & E Wales, higher risk. So, we currently run with notion of snow possible Exmoor, Mendips & more especially FoD/Cotswolds later Thurs. Less likely lower.."

That's such a shame after watching last forecast and getting my hopes up   Sad isn't it we are pinning hopes on transient wet snow events now

It is pretty violent out there now ..............I haven't heard the wind howling like this in a very longtime ..............................I don't have a weather station so can't give any figures -but any ideas ?

I have been in Princetown 3 years now and I know we are prone to wind and rain, but I have never seen anything like what is happening out there right now.... This is worse than St Judes for here.... Currently 77.2mm of rain recorded today....

Bleeping TV aerial has just blown down, nearly went through my window!

Bar is falling extremely fast now, hardly any rain today. I'm sure it will pick up but it was supposed to be raining from midday.

Bit wild out there now and that rain is pretty heavy. I can hear it pounding on the roof. (well its a new house so you can hear a bluetit fart on my roof!)
