Evening Peeps! Still fairly calm ( by Skye standards! ) up here. The wind is beginning to pick up a bit now with the worst expected in the wee small hours of the morning. Pressure down to 958.8 mb and falling. Gonna be bad in a lot of areas so stay safe Peeps.

Just had a look at the Data logger for the last 12hrs at Capel Curig and it has seen gusts of 110 @ 15:15hrs dont think this is going to be the strongest gust out of this system by the time its finished, would want to be out in the atlantic this evening!

On life is enough already.

latest atlantic jet stream analyses shows a very strong ribbon of jet just to the SW of the current low centre tucked in just to the back of the trough!! not good http://virga.sfsu.edu/gif/jetstream_atl_init_00.gif

North Yorkshire Police on Facebook saying a number of trees are down across the county, certainly seems quite wild out there and the squall line is still incoming! Stay safe everyone if you have to go out this evening.

The squall came and went in just under a minute here, but when it arrived the rain was REALLY falling, torrentially. The wind was not notable because of the rain, but it sure was strong, but this evening winds have not been as strong as what was forecasted.

Highest gust maybe just over 50mph? It is still raining lightly though, showers still to come here. Looking closely at tomorrow evening with actual snow forecasted!

I have 3 new fence panels waiting to be put up from last week's storm. I'm waiting for all these storms to pass, so it'll be almost new year by the time the fence is fixed :-/
