This is a regional thread to discuss the current and forecast conditions for London, the South East, East Anglia and the Three Counties….these regional threads have been set up to talk about local conditions, and are geared for a more general 'chatty' discussion to give all members a chance to post and discuss the weather within the region and also to enjoy reading informative and occasionally humorous posts......

Morning All, looks dry out and feels mild. Not much more I can add really. So hope everyone has a good day.

Just looked at the cricket score, 2 positives, one we are still batting, two we got over 200, even I can't be more positive than that, anyone fancy joining me in a rain dance?

another day....don't know what weather is doing as can't open curtains but can hear a seagull calling very aggressively outside.

Today I am going to try to read some books i downloaded onto my laptop for free on a free kindle application from Amazon which was very good.unfortunately there is not a working tv in the room i am in but i might be able to watch some of the catchup tv on the laptop.

Grey with some sun poking through, 6 degrees. As with Leigh D I am caring for a lurgy-ridden child, and dreading going down with it like so many others on the forum; ah well, let's hope it's cleared before Christmas if it will insist on jumping on us all.

i'm sure its this weather which creates these lurgies, you never know what to wear or how warm/cold it will be, you go into official shops and buildings which are far too warm, i've heard it said that a sharp freeze in winter kills off all the lurgies.

Morning :)

Mostly clear skies here this morning. In the end the weekend looks like it's not going to be too bad weather wise.

Yep, warming up a bit now and the sun is really beaming down - great!! I'm a bit concerned about damage from the wind here though:

Morning Coast,

That's an amazing figure and the first time I've seen a gust speed lower than the average speed......

Actually quite grateful for calm nice weather for a change - got a little GPS tracker for my cat to see what he gets up to when he's out, and he doesn't go out in the rain!

I thought he only ever went into next door's garden http://g-pa.ws/1f6u6Zy

Managed to get a few more ZZZz's this morning after a sleep broken night, not been out but appears dry with sunny spells and patchy cloud, currently 8.9oC.

asked southernman for a salad, got poached egg on toast instead, apparently he doesn't know how to make a salad.

light appears to have dimmed here so must be quite gloomy outside.

Sounds the same if you close your eyes Posted Image

Still very bright and sunny here, just been out to clear the garden after the recent storm and feeling rather warm in the sun, not bad for December, not doen much today if I am honest, wanted to go to Olney and the Dickens Victorian fayre, but lack of sleep last night and feeling pants anyway have given it a miss for the first time in years.

i will try that next time.Posted Image

here's something interesting.Southernman has been giving me quantities of lucozade, being bored, i decided to read the label.it now says that lucozade is onlly to be enjoyed when well and not to replace fluids when ill.

do you remember it used to claim it aided recovery?any time you were sick they would bring you a glass bottle of lucozade with a weird orange crinkly thing round it.it tasted different as well, sure it never used to be this bright orange.

back to the weather, so no snow forecast soon then?

What a great little item that is.  I want one for my kitty now.  What fun, but also a great help when they go missing for the night.
