I've just complained too. Absolutely ridiculous in the scheme of things.

LOWESTOFT 'CUT OFF'2319:

BBC Radio Suffolk reporter Guy Campbell says flood water in Lowestoft has left some people "effectively cut off".

Posted Image

"Where the new Joseph Conrad pub is is completely flooded - no-one can go there at all," he said. "The water is streaming up the High Street.

"With the Oulton Broad bridge and the Bascule Bridge closed, this northern part of Lowestoft is effectively cut off.

"The only way out is through Haddiscoe, but we think that's probably flooded as well.

"I've never seen scenes like this in Lowestoft."

That's ok just wanted to highlight to people in case anyone reading was in affected area as we seem to have been left in the dark by the media.

don't expect flooding in most of the town here. flood defences either improved or built since 1953.

however, southern part of the town it's a case of, in the summer months there is a river at the bottom of my garden, but in the winter months there is my garden at the bottom of the river.

hope it's nothing too serious there.

Good to take extra precaution but cant see flooding around certain places of Medway. I wouldn't evacuate if I lived in those places. My friends who live on st mary's island aren't leaving. I'm more concerned about east anglia/ essex coasts and portsmouth :(. Take care peeps xx

Don't forget Medway includes the Hoo peninsula.... and there is a lot of low lying/marshland around there.

Trust me I used to live out on Grain...... for my sins!

Not a case of if, but when Sizewell goes 'offline' its more than likely to put additional loads onto the grid in the East.
