141mph was recorded on Aonoch Mor earlier according to the BBC. This one hit abit close to home for me, tree landed on my dads car when he was on his way to work, thankfully he's ok, but the cars not!

BREAKING NEWS

A lorry driver has died after his HGV was blown on top of two cars in West Lothian. The incident happened at 08:10 at Boghead Roundabout in Bathgate

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-25227714

Very sorry to hear of the first fatality from today's storm. hopefully the last report of such thing but it won't be for a few hours until we realise the true impact of the windstorm. Unfortunately seroius injury or worse is Inevitable during severe gale events.

Perhaps he ought to consider a law making it illegal to take high sided vehicles out in weather like this??

What are they going to do... Pull off a Gandalf the Grey and "Thou Shall Not Pass" kind of stunt?

What these idiots should have done is had a Cobra meeting YESTERDAY and stopped all these idiotic, money grabbing companies, who care little for human life, HGV or other drivers, especially in Scotland from going out there.

We already have one poor sod dead.

But lets have a meeting as/after it's happening/happened.
