My thoughts FWIW on tonight's shenanigans within certain media outlets.

http://apps.hha.co.uk/mis/Sensors/HarwichLevel.aspx  Link clearly showing the surge in Harwich harbour.  Will be quite a specatcle if surge maintains til high water at about 0130.  2 friends and their families who live in west street, Harwich, may end up taking my offer for beds for the night by the looks of things

That really, in a nutshell, shows the gravity of the situation. I've never seen so many reds and certainly not along the Blackwater and Crouch areas. I hope people take heed of these EA alerts in these areas.

All routes between north and south Lowestoft are flooded pretty much stopping travel between both sides of the town.

In other news, had a shower here, but it was only of rain.

Score for this northerly

-8/10

0/10 would be for a non event, but this non event has triggered a disastrous chain reaction destroying peoples livelihoods and endangering human life. Hence the need for negative figures.

Note- I will never make a triangle of doom related joke again.

I've just rung the bbc to complain or at least leave a message to express my views on the poor coverage. I am disgusted that I was given a message stating due too a high number of calls that they can't answer my call and that I could email or call back later :-( . Not only I feel I can't complain as a paying customer but I've paid for the liberty

Still, good that they are being overwhelmed with complaints!

Just back from the Creek. High tide still 2 1/4 hours away. I've never seen it as high as it is now. Posted Image I feel sorry for the people who live in one or two houses down there. A pretty spectacular place to live in most weather, but they must be seriously worried now.
