Certainly a lot colder out there again tonight, 3.1 degrees at the moment and the wind is blowing at 15 kph at the moment. Feels a lot colder!

BFTV, yes it has been remarkably dry autumn and a good thing too, no change expected for another week. That some storm a brewing and with high tides it will have some punch. What's amazing is the last few storms seem to go north or south of us, even if the last few years have been odd pressure wise I'm amazed it's been so long, next one to hit us in January I reckon.

Just dipped colder here now. Went out the back garden, and it feels briskly bitter in that wind. No idea what the windspeed is, but defo stronger than earlier, and defo colder… Can't see the weather station screen, it's in the restless baby's bedroom!!! Posted Image

Hi all.

Power has been oot three times and it super windy. Can here the trees blowing like hell. Cold front is on its way but it is 8c now, not expecting that to last long.

Half expecting wet snow later. Nae and bbc say yes.

Edit: 9:17 power has now been off for 1 hour and a half after the fourth time. Dangerously windy

Just had a couple of considerable gusts. It's recycling bins day and the street is covered in red and black bins and litter. OH's motorbike has just been blown over. Be careful everyone, this is actually quite nasty though should be through the worst of it soon.

Yes, the cold's here. Can't report any temps as the magpies made off with my sensor again but skies clearing dramatically and wind dropping.

The waves must be quite a sight in North Antrim.

I spoke too soon. I've been out in the street chasing our dustbin up the road. The winds are so strong I had trouble closing the front door when I came in. We have strange objects in the garden, who owned them originally I don't know.

Just observed a seagull being blown sideways across the sky and unable to fly... Never saw that before! What he was doing flying in this weather is beyond me!!!

Looking very poor snow wise between tomorrow and the end of the year.

Euro high looking the form horse in the medium term with perhaps something more unsettled around ten days time.

Poorest start to Winter for a few years and shades of the 1990's. Will be very quiet in here for a while.

Still very mild here, 10.9C, but surprisingly gusty considering how far south I am.

This December seems to be going against every LRF I've seen, including my own. Still though, things can change. Remember how mild and unsettled November looked at first?

It's snowing up here. Was sleet, but now turned to very wet large flakes.

Edit: ....... it's finished

Reached 11.2C about an hour ago, now down to 9.6C... certainly no chance of seeing snow here. Bit of a north south split at the moment!
