I remember this and I was camping with the scouts and needless to say it was frickin cold!!  I've always been a coldie but camping out in it wasn't much fun and what's more, I didn't even get much snow!

Remember this cold spell very well. It lasted through to the tail end of the month and produced a couple of ice days later in the month thanks to feezing fog. We didn't see any snow being sheltered from the east winds, but it was a very wintry period.

 

However, there was a flip to very mild wet conditions early in December.
