Bought a 4 foot tall wicker stag from manchester Christmas market, put him out with lights on him , with in 10 minutes blew over had to make steel brackets and bolt him to paving, fist time I've had to use an sds drill to put up Christmas decorations! ...

We'd have to bolt it to the paving slabs around here but unfortunately it would be more to with local idiots rather than weather conditions.

Was dry for much of daylight hours but it's absolutely peeing down here now and quite gusty as well.

There is something about hearing the rain on the windows when you don't have to go out in it though.

got to go out with dog to pick up a takeaway ,wished we had cooked instead !..

Hope you didn't get what you picked up from the dog in the plastic bag mixed up with the stuff in the foil trays.Always had my doubts about Lamb Koftas.

Heavy rain here too and leaking through upstairs bathroom roof where the plumber fitted a pipe outside for the new boiler!

Still belting down here although the forecast is for it clear up pretty soon.

Not what most would want for the week leading up to Christmas but better than having it in mid summer I suppose.

Anyway another days holiday from work spent painting.

Vile December.Just been out to put the bins out and its lashing down.Little hope of lying snow this side of the new year now. Might have a pop into the archive to cheer me up(or depress me more).

Or book a later holiday to one of the so called hot countries.More chance of making a snowball there.

Been a bit colder today with 5.8c the best I've recorded but your right it's certainly not feeling very festive.Maybe a bit of time yet for something of interest but I can't see anything more than sleet or transient snow at best and I'd imagine that wind and rain will be the form horse over the next couple of weeks.

Looks like we'll be eating christmas turkey in a post apocalyptic wastland formally known as the north west looking at some of the charts !!....

Yes there's plenty of nasty looking charts about but no doubt they will downgrade nearer to the time although it only needs one to stick to its guns and the emergency builders and glazers will be clapping their hands.Things are looking better for a cooling down though so snow may start to creep into the forecast in the coming days.

Good Evening folks. Finally the rain from last night had stopped here. I'm pretty sure 25-40 mm have being fallen here. The ground here is very saturated and any future rain will cause floods or standing water. Good job I live on top of a valley.
