Some vigorous atlantic depressions lining themselves up on the conveyor belt - Wind strength will be high on the menu for the next week other than anything wintry.

Yes the track has moved further north and the low doesn't look as deep but TBH with the storm as programmed last night, there was onl

one way way it was going and that was to downgrade.

The storm showed would have hit us head on and would have probably resulted in major damage and loss of life in our region and even as it shows now we are still looking at a very windy spell of weather.

Wild outside there now but at 8.6c it doesn't feel that cold.

GFS 12z more of the same LP after LP crossing the country cold enough at times for snow over the hills

Random gusts of winds.

Just blown my window wide open and now i cant reach it. Off to get a chair.

Theres also a bin bag blowing past my window every five mins driving me mad :(

After a lie in due to a late voluntary taxi job last night I still had time to put the outside Christmas lights up before the threatened rain arrived.

Hasn't been that bad a day really although the big orange light in the sky has been missing again.

The coming week is still looking interesting for those who like stormy conditions; maybe not so good for those like me who want the lights hanging from the gutters to remain there.
