Another day,and another bore fest as far as the models are concerned

without looking into my crystal ball,i really cannot see anything wintry this side of 2014.

of course the weather makes fools of us all the time, but it is going to take one hell of a turn round

lets just hope in January our fortunes change for the better

Would anyone actually care if we didn't get any snow at all this winter?I know I wouldn't!

Having withdrawal symptoms from summer.

Come on Backtrack.Blizzards and a freezing easterly across the SE and mild muck for our region and you'd be throwing toys just like many on here, myself included. But I do take your point and at least I'm not freezing every morning clearing ice from the car before trying to go to work so from a selfish point of view it can stay on the mild side.

why do the tv forecasters still go on about how calm it is, and going to be ?, it's still windy 20-40mph all this week, are they just trying to make people feel good for xmas ?

So looks like we will have to batton down the hatches again this weekend as strong gusts coming our way hopefully without the flooding this time for the people who were affected by it

Colder than forecast here. It's only 2.8C! Quite a surprise.

Gritters out around here and in Rochdale but it doesn't feel that cold really.

To be honest it felt colder around lunchtime with more of a breeze blowing but the strangest thing about today's boring weather was the quick turn around from a clear dawn through to thick fog and then sunny spells, all in the space of a couple of hours.

The BBC weather saying the strongest winds will effect Northern Ireland and Scotland another downgrade again. No surprises there.

How many downgrades here can we take? I was looking forward to that storm. Posted Image

I am in the feels wet and thoroughly miserable camp though.

Horrible day so far up here.

And the wet and thoroughly miserable conditions carried on through the day and with little better on offer over the weekend and into next week I think it's time to hibernate, at least until Christmas.

The models are still showing severe winds restricted to Scotland and Ireland. Still no change from yesterday. Looks like another boring weekend weatherwise.

Just wait until Thursday. It's looking pretty nasty for us at the moment.

And what happened to General Ourumov?
