I just pray and hope that xmas day isn't sunny and mild, there is nothing worse, it just doesn't feel right. Xmas day for me needs to be dark frosty and very cold to give me that good old xmas feeling but best of all snow but thats not going to happen as we live in the U bloody K

Very mild today feels more like April  than mid December. New years eve first snow fall according to Piers Corbyn, for Scotland and the north... we shall see.

I couldnt care less what happens on Christmas day itself but i miss the cold, calm and frosty days of last year when out doing the xmas shopping. It makes it all nice and festive. But cold/grey and windy is awful, so its got to be just the right type of cold.

This Thursday! look at the lines and numbers, still low pressure+cold air sweeping in behind the storm= you guessed it!

Totally agree, the run up to Christmas is a much better time for some winter weather. Cold, crisp, frosty, icy or snowy - as you say, anything but dull great and wet!
