When did you become interested in the weather?

Since I was a young kid, my mother often called me Michael Fish because I talked about the weather so much!

I've always been interested in snow and thunderstorms but don't think I took much notice of the other weather types until about 2002 when I seem to start having recollections of what the weather was doing on a number of days. I also began to understand my grandfather's records of the weather that began back in the 80s and which I carried on from 2004 onwards and then joining N-W in 2005 I have literally been a weather-junkie. Always thinking about it even when I should be concentrating on other things!

Feb 91 Snow Event

Early sixties. Like others have stated snow was the trigger. Began keeping weather records in 1968. I tend to enjoy all extremes of weather with the possible exception of humidity.
