Afternoon peeps

Much better day today weather wise, dryer, slightly milder (well feels like without the wind) and even had a bit of sun this morning, bit duller now mind.

Well tomorrow looks wet

Poking around NMM precip charts earlier and adding some animation, it comes in two waves and is very intense over Sussex and Kent late afternoon all the way into Saturday:

Precipitation - (-2) - Some light rain pushes east through boxing day

Temperature - (0) - Starting mild but colder air feed west with the cold front. So giving an overall average result

Interesting that this anticyclonic result is popping up a few times here.

Every year all the dyslexic satanists gather on the 25th Dec to worship Santa.

Suprise today at work, a lass in the warehouse when I was fixing a PC was *shocked* that I had a tongue stud!

I have been working there for over 4 years and the stud has been in a lot lot longer than that but they never noticed? LOL.

A cool night here at 8.8c.  Had a good day. Managed to get out on my bike for a bit plus a couple of dry long dog walks.  I wish we had more days like today and not more wet dross arriving.

Typhoon Haiyan is now categorised as ‘Violent’ by the Japanese Met. Agency, they are keeping it as a Cat. 4 Typhoon. However, the Joint Typhoon Warning Centre are forecasting higher winds, so a Super Typhoon, and equivalent to a Cat 5 Hurricane. Whatever, it is heading for the Philippines. Areas on the eastern seaboard of the central parts of the Philippines are being warned about the approach of locally classified Extremely Catastrophic Super Typhoon Yolanda (Philippines have their own naming conventions and grading. The Philippine Atmospheric Administration is stating that Yolanda (Haiyan) “now endangers Leyte and Samar Provinces...as well as the whole of Central Visayas. The potential landfall area of this ‘super’ typhoon is likely along the Northern Leyte on or before noontime Friday 8th Nov.â€

According to the JTWC, this monster storm looks like it could still be at Super Typhoon (Cat 5.) status as it crosses the Philippines Thursday night into Friday.

My god that storm looks terrible. Hope everyone can get out of harms way, and no fatalities are reported.

Back to our little corner and densely populated area, the weather has been okay. To sum it up, I will say bright... That's it really. It feels a lot cooler than it did last night.

Anyone got an heads-up on the weather in Norwich this weekend. I'm going there to watch the mighty Hammers play... Thanks

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall.
