Afternoon all,

Nothing but constant rain here so far today. What a crap day!

Hopefully it's only the weather that's crap and your having a very happy birthday Leeanne Posted Image

Afternoon all,

Busy busy here so not much time to look at the weather (but I can tell it's cool and damp out there) thankfully I've got a lovely evening snuggled up with Mr P too look forward to and hopefully we will be going on a nice dry walk tomorrow, at least there will be a warm welcome at the cafe afterwards, I think it will be a hot drink not an ice cream though ..

On the plus side with the weather - it's finally stopped raining! Posted Image

Off topic I know but as there are quite a few of us Dr Who fans on here this Fan-Made “Doctor Who†50th Anniversary special trailer is AMAZING a crazy talented DW fan created a trailer for the show’s 50th Anniversary Special and it’s pretty much the greatest thing ever, seriously......

Very soggy and wet on Arbrook Common this afternoon - one very deep part of the track saw us both up to our ankles in wet mud, and the dog managed to cover his entire underbelly with the stuff to spread it all over the rear seats of the car on the journey home. 7 degree according to the car temperature. Let's hope some of the positive signs starting to appear on the models of a dry-out and then the elusive winter stuff keep showing right up to +0hrs:)

Precipitation - (-1) Dry until the New year approaches, then Atlantic domination

Temperature - (-2) South easterly winds would be pretty cold despite modest 850's (1-3C), turning milder as the Atlantic pushes in.

post-9329-0-81577700-1384025063_thumb.pnHi all,

I have a good feeling about this winter and think we could see a cold end to November and possibly

going on into December.

although the pattern may look very zonal there is def a change on the way, the azures high keeps ridging

up towards greenland but at the moment is getting pushed back by the cold polar vortex. What we need

is for pressure to drop over iberia and southern europe and that in turn will support a rise in pressure to

the north of the uk ( flip flop)

JMA long range anomalies charts are showing this could happen in about 10 days time.

Happy sledging .

Good evening everyone. Happy Birthday Snow Raven Posted Image , don't mind if I do.

Edging ever closer to the first frost of the season here in the outer suburbs with a minimum of 1.2c this morning, only climbing to 7.4c eventually. That was a nice little bonus for those of you further south who like a bit of thunder and lightning ( sorry Tamara ) but all we had here was rain. Hve a great weekend folks. Posted Image

Whitefriars was flooded earlier - massive puddles and flooding. Very heavy rain, was heavy for a good 90 mins or so. Very bad conditions there were on road too! Wincheap bridge underneath was flooded!

metcheck's charts are derived from the gefs control run. that was a peach of a run on the 12z from a  coldie perspective.
